Senate Passes 2014 Budget Of N4.695tr
The Senate today Wednesday April 9th passed the 2014 budget totalling N4.695tr, an
amount which is N52.2bn higher than the N4.642trl which was submitted
by President Goodluck Jonathan to the National Assembly on December 19,
2013, through the Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of
Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
Highlights of the 2014 budget as approved by the senate are, Statutory Transfers (N408,687,801,891), Debts Service (N712,000,000,000), Recurrent Expenditure (N2,454,887,566,702), Capital Expenditure (N1,119,614,631,407) while the Aggregate Expenditure is N4,695,190,000,000.

Former Wrestling Champion, 'The Ultimate Warrior' Dies Aged 54
One of the most iconic wrestlers of all time, James
Brian Hellwig, popularly known as The Ultimate Warrior, has died at the age of 54, days after being inducted into
the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame.
According to TMZ, Warrior collapsed yesterday evening April 8th while walking to his car with his wife in Arizona outside of their hotel. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
When he was added to the Hall of Fame on April 5th, Ultimate Warrior said "One day everyone must breath his last. And at that time, all that would matter would be what you had done while you were breathing. That's what keeps your legacy living..."

Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu, a Nigerian living in Thailand has been
arrested by Thailand police for possession and dealing in
illegal drugs, cocaine. Ibenuba, who had been dealing in hard drugs in
Thailand for a while, was arrested following a well planned move by the
police.
A Thai lady named Somkid Kwanngern was first arrested with 1.2g of cocaine and upon questioning told the police it was her Briton friend, Curtis Martin Taylor, who gave them to her. She took the police to Taylor who confessed to buying the drugs from Ibenuba. The Thai police hatched a secret investigation on Ibenuba using the Thai lady who pretended to be a buyer. She called Ibenuba asking to buy 5.45g of cocaine from him and he asked her to come to his house at KK Apartment to receive it, which she did. After the deal was concluded and fake money provided by the police had been handed over to Ibenuba, she notified the police.
The police immediately moved in on Ibenuba, arrested him and charged him with possession of category 2 drug while the Thai and the Briton were charged with possession of category 2 & 5 drugs.

False Prophecy Lands Prophet in Police Net
Alphonsus Ezie, a 56year old prophet with the Celestial Church of
Christ Igando District, Lagos State has been arrested and remanded in
prison by the police for tricking his congregation with a false
prophecy, PM news reports.
Prophet Ezie had on a Sunday service prophesied seeing some members of his congregation traveling to Netherland for greener pastures and coming back home successful. He asked all those interested in making the prophecy fulfilled in their lives to meet with his friend, Mr Samuel, a travel agent, to help them with their travel papers. Nigerian man learned to walk in high heels as part of his plans to kill his mother
21 year old Emmanuel Kalejaiye is accused of learning how to walk in high heels
and purchasing an all-pink outfit, pink hoodie, pink jogging bottoms, and a scarf as part of his 'meticulous plans' to
kill and then impersonate his own mother, UK Daily Mail reports. Full report below...
A court heard he planned to wear them as he moved his mother’s car so as to deceive any neighbour who saw him into thinking that she was still alive. The court heard he had detailed on a piece of paper how he had to learn to walk in high heels for this part of his plan.
Kalejaiye is accused of killing his 44-year-old mother,Tolu Kalejaiye (pictured above), at their home in Wickford, Essex, on September 26 last year.
