A Sharia Court in Kano yesterday ruled that a 63-year-old
man, Ubale Saidu, who raped a 10-year old girl and infected her with Human
Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV will be stoned to death.
The State Commissioner for Justice confirmed the incident
but however said, under the law the convict has one month to appeal the
sentence.
